This policy explains how TapDeals (“TapDeals”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit tapdeals.net, read our reviews, subscribe to our newsletter or contact us. We try to collect as little as possible.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe.
• Forms and emails to us: your name, email address and anything you include when you use our contact or product submission forms, or email us directly.

Information collected automatically

• Server logs: like most websites, our hosting provider records technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the page you requested and the time of the request. These logs are used to keep the site secure and working and are kept for a limited period.
• Images: product screenshots are delivered by our content provider’s image CDN (cdn.sanity.io), which receives standard request data such as your IP address to serve them.

We do not currently use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, we’ll update this policy and our Cookie Policy first.

How we use your information

• To send the newsletter you asked for, until you unsubscribe.
• To reply to your messages and consider product submissions.
• To run, secure and improve the website.
• To comply with legal obligations.

Where privacy laws require a legal basis, we rely on your consent (newsletter), our legitimate interests in running and protecting the site and answering enquiries, and legal obligations.

Affiliate links

Some links on TapDeals are affiliate links. When you click one, you leave our site and the merchant or its affiliate network (for example AppSumo and its tracking partner) may set cookies and collect information under their own privacy policies so the referral can be credited. We don’t receive your personal details from those purchases — only aggregated sales and commission reports. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

Who we share information with

We don’t sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site:

• our website hosting provider;
• our content management and image delivery provider (Sanity);
• FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which delivers our contact, product submission and newsletter forms to our inbox;
• our email provider, if you subscribe to the newsletter or email us;
• authorities, when the law requires it.

These providers may process data in countries other than yours, under their own safeguards.

How long we keep information

• Newsletter addresses: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
• Emails: for as long as needed to handle your enquiry, then deleted or archived.
• Server logs: for the limited period set by our hosting provider.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in every email. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email contact@tapdeals.net. We may need to confirm your identity first. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

TapDeals is written for businesses and adults. It isn’t directed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and we limit who can access the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

We’ll post any changes on this page and update the date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
