Amplaud Review: Testimonials, Review Requests and Rewards From $49
Verdict: A complete social-proof workflow at a tiny lifetime price — but it's brand new, unreviewed, and its own listing contradicts itself on what Tier 1 includes.

Our verdict
Amplaud runs the whole testimonial loop: ask customers for text, video or a review on G2 or Trustpilot, approve submissions in one queue, publish them on a Wall of Love, and send a gift card when you approve. The $98 tier matches a $99-a-month plan for a one-time price. The risks: no buyer reviews yet, a vendor founded in 2026, and conflicting tier details.
Best for: SaaS teams and agencies that want testimonials, review-site asks and rewards in one place
Pros
- Covers collection, approval, publishing and rewards in one workflow
- Asks for written or browser-recorded video testimonials, or routes customers to G2, Trustpilot, Google and Capterra
- Nothing goes public until you approve it
- Unlimited campaigns, forms and walls on every tier
- Tier 2 ($98 once) matches the $99-a-month Growth plan
- Gift-card rewards via Tremendous fire on approval (Tier 2+)
Cons
- No AppSumo reviews or questions yet, and no independent video reviews
- The listing says Tier 1 includes rewards and the API; the FAQ says they're Tier 2 and up
- The company was founded in January 2026 and is listed on AppSumo Radar (not vetted, no extended guarantee)
- The privacy policy has no GDPR terms, data processing agreement or retention period
- Integration lists differ between sections of the listing
- By its own comparison pages, Senja starts cheaper and Famewall adds custom domains
Choose it if…
- You want to ask happy customers for testimonials and public reviews in one flow
- You'd like to thank advocates with gift cards automatically
- You manage social proof for several brands or clients
Skip it if…
- You only need a simple testimonial wall
- You need GDPR paperwork or a vendor with a track record
- You want a custom domain for your Wall of Love

I read Amplaud's AppSumo listing, FAQ and founder post, compared each tier with the plans on its own pricing page, and read its privacy policy and comparison pages. There are no buyer reviews or questions yet, and I found no YouTube reviews. I haven't run a campaign with it myself.

Most businesses have more social proof than they use: kind emails, Slack messages, five-star reviews scattered across G2 and Google. The problem is the system to collect it, check it and get it onto your site. Amplaud's AppSumo deal bundles that whole workflow — plus rewards for the customers who help — for a one-time price.
I went through the listing, FAQ and founder post, compared every tier with Amplaud's own pricing page, and read its privacy policy. There are no buyer reviews or YouTube reviews yet, which I'll come back to.
What Amplaud actually is
Amplaud is a customer proof workflow. You create a campaign and share its link; customers can leave a written testimonial, record a video in the browser (no app or login), or get sent to a public review site like G2, Trustpilot, Google or Capterra. Everything lands in one approval queue, approved items go into a proof library, and you publish them on a hosted Wall of Love or an embeddable widget.
The twist is rewards: when you approve a submission, Amplaud can release a gift card through Tremendous or one of your own codes, and logs the advocate and reward together.
The features that stood out to me
One queue, nothing auto-published
Every submission arrives with its source, campaign, rating and any screenshot or video, and nothing goes live until you approve it. That's the right default for anything carrying your brand.
Testimonials and public reviews together
Many testimonial tools only collect quotes for your own site. Amplaud can also route customers to 10 public review sites and 6 social platforms, so the same campaign can grow your G2 or Google rating, not just your homepage wall. You can bring in existing reviews by CSV.
Walls and embeds without limits
Campaigns, forms, widgets and walls are unlimited on every tier. There are 9 Wall of Love templates you can match to your brand colours and fonts, embeds by script or iframe, and analytics on views, visitors and clicks.
Rewards tied to approval
Paying for reviews is a grey area on most review sites, so read their rules before attaching rewards to public reviews. For testimonials on your own site, sending a thank-you gift card the moment you approve one is a nice touch that few tools automate.
Where Amplaud falls short
- No track record. Amplaud LLC was founded in January 2026, the listing has zero reviews and zero questions, and I couldn't find a single independent video. You'd be an early adopter.
- The listing contradicts itself. The tier table shows rewards and the REST API on all tiers, but the FAQ says both are Tier 2 and Tier 3 only — and Amplaud's own site puts rewards, integrations and branding removal on its $99 Growth plan. I'd assume Tier 1 is the basic Starter plan.
- AppSumo Radar. Radar listings aren't vetted by AppSumo and don't get the extended "We Got Your Back" guarantee, though the standard 60-day refund applies.
- Light on privacy detail. The privacy policy names Amplaud as US-operated but doesn't mention GDPR, a data processing agreement, a subprocessor list or how long data is kept after you leave. Collecting customer videos and names makes that worth checking.
- Cheaper rivals exist. Amplaud's own comparison pages say Senja starts cheaper and Famewall is cheaper at every tier and offers custom domains. Amplaud's edge is seats, workspaces and rewards.
Amplaud pricing: lifetime deal vs. monthly
Bought directly, Amplaud's Starter plan is $29 a month ($290 a year) for one workspace and three seats, Growth is $99 a month for three workspaces, ten seats, rewards and integrations, and Scale is $249 a month for unlimited everything. There's a 14-day free trial and no free plan.
On AppSumo, the same limits cost $49, $98 or $147 once. Tier 2 at $98 matches the Growth plan — so it pays for itself in about a month — and it's the tier I'd pick, since that's where rewards and the API appear to live. You get 60 days to request a refund, and upgrading later keeps your data.
What other buyers are saying
Nobody has reviewed Amplaud on AppSumo yet, and there are no buyer questions to learn from. The founder says he answers support personally and the listing expects replies within 24 hours, but there's no independent evidence either way yet.
My verdict
On paper, Amplaud is a lot of social-proof tooling for very little money: collection, review-site requests, approval, walls and rewards, with Tier 2 matching a $99-a-month plan. The trade-off is risk — a brand-new vendor, no reviews and a listing that doesn't agree with itself. If you're comfortable being early, get Amplaud on AppSumo, pick Tier 2, and use the 60-day window to run a real campaign.

Does Tier 1 include rewards and the API?
The listing's tier table says yes, but its FAQ says rewards and the REST API are Tier 2 and Tier 3 only. Amplaud's own site puts rewards on the Growth plan, which matches Tier 2.
Can Amplaud collect video testimonials?
Yes. Customers can record a video testimonial in the browser without installing anything or logging in.
Is Amplaud the same as Plaud or Applaud?
No. Amplaud is a customer advocacy tool from Amplaud LLC and is unrelated to Plaud.ai or Applaud HR.
